A big and warm welcome to the newest member of our owners group. Rand has just imported his RH drive TR5 from UK. See more about this car on Rand's page
The 2023 VTR in Dillard Georgia was a smashing success for our group. 6 cars and 7 owners were in attendance. The organizers rolled out the red carpet as our rare cars were featured at the event. I am working on an article and will publish soon. 2024 VTR, September 8th - 12th, in Nashville Indiana.
Jim purchased his TR5 from Tim Murphy and Garry purchased Andrew Uprichard's lovely TR5. Hoping you both might entertain joining us at the National VTR in Dillard Georgia in September.

Kevin has been working to put together a logo for our "USCan" owners group. Please comment by clicking the link below. The goal is a logo to be used on hats, shirts and other group gear. We will hopefully have it ready later this summer and defiantly for the VTR in September. Thank you Kevin for this fabulous effort.

What was hot in England in 1968!? This is a great look back 54 years on the auto scene at the time. Thank you Kevin O'Hara for sharing this clip
Check out this great video on Neil Revington and his Company, Revington TR, It chronicles his long love affair with the Triumph brand. This video was produced by the crew at Bad Obsession Motorsport and found on their YouTube channel, "Project Binky". A channel worth viewing if you are interested in car restoration and custom fabrication. Plus it is also entertaining to watch!
Kevin is the proud owner of CP 2 O , It was the first car off of the Canley production line as CP 1 was the prototype build. Look for more interesting information on this car as Kevin joins the group and adds to his story.
Ben recently reached out to Andrew and it looks like he has his work cut out for him. CP 1168 O is in need of some love! Ben, make sure to reach out to Richard Weyland, he started out in much worse shape and is making great progress. There are so many on this site that can and will help. Glad to have you aboard. Please keep us up to date with your progress!!
Wil recently imported CP 2366 O and is currently working with the California DMV (or at least he is trying) to get his car registered. Welcome Wil and glad to have you onboard! I hope you will write an article on your trials and tribulations of getting your car legal. I'm thinking of a Billy Joel song that says," Someday this will all seem funny". ( but probably not right now......)
Alex reached out to Andrew and myself and was a previous owner of my car. He reports that it was in very rough shape when he sold it. He still owns CP 2401 O. Welcome Alex and glad to have you onboard!
It's amazing to see the incredible progress that Richard is making on his TR5. True dedication to saving one of these wonderful cars. See more pics on his page by clicking the link below.
Ken found, purchased and imported his TR5 from Spain. See more on the owners page
Michael is the lucky owner of two TR5s! Welcome to the US-Can Owners group Michael. Pictures and stories from Michael to follow.
Robert Cameron has had his TR5 in the family since 1995. He took possession of the car in 2016 and the following video shows his restoration.
Even with the best of intentions, sometimes we have to rethink and rework projects that we have done on our cars. In this case after driving her for about 300 miles I had 2 nagging challenges that were not going away and needed to be addressed

Thank you Pierre for providing this great document.
Earls Court 1952 marked the entry of Standard Triumph into the production sports car field and the beginning of what has been probably the most successful range of sports cars in the world........
Don't quite have her put away yet??? Send me pics or videos and I'll post them. Send to Rob: rervin@ervtech.net
List unwanted or no longer needed parts on our "Pick and Pluck" page. I'll admit the name is a little funny but it come from Nantucket Island, where there is a place to drop off, trade or sell unwanted items. If you can help a fellow TR owner please contact me and I'll add a pic. I make no money from this but offer it as a place to support our cause. Rob at rervin@ervtech.net
This is a clever little switch that is almost impossible to find and replace. I have seen several cars including my own that have a similar switch but for headlights in place of the wiper switch. I have a pile of broken switches in my shop and I have taken them apart to see how they work and whether we can design a modern solution for this switch. (Note: this switch was even recalled from the factory). Click below to see more on the progress of this project. Please also jump in if you are willing to help in the design process. You can also contact me, Rob at rervin@ervtech.net
28 degrees in the suburbs of Philadelphia and out for a Sunday drive
Please send me your winter pics or the last drive before you put your 5 away. Mine is headed for the garage and a look into why the RH rear trailing arm is inboard of where it should be. There is a visual difference and I have tire rub and a little inner rim damage from hitting the shock tower. I suspect the bushings have moved or slipped out of position, but will know more soon.............
When I ran into trouble with my metering unit( I blew out the diaphragm on the first pressure test) help and parts were difficult to find. I finally wrote to Neil Revington, founder of RevingtonTR in the UK and he was more than willing to help. RevingtonTR was wonderful to work with and the results were spot on and well done. I asked Neil write a short piece for our group and he graciously provided the following:
As a result of our activities with TR5’s, it is inevitable that we have become something of a magnet for TR5 owners. We are able to offer a vast range of parts backed up with an unrivaled knowledge base. Our workshops rarely have less than 4 or 5 TR5 in at any one time and once we had 12 TR5 on site all at the same time............
I have owned TR’s for almost fifty years, and for almost forty I have served as a TR Registrar for the TR Register. During that time, I have witnessed these cars traverse from everyday working cars, to highly prized and (admired) examples of 1960’s sports car motoring. I welcome anything that encourages their appreciation, preservation, and most importantly their use. In such a large land-mass as the USA and Canada, with still relatively so few TR5’s, one ‘physical’, ‘old school’ club is clearly not viable. So, what better way for his small, but growing, band of owners and enthusiasts to share stories, discoveries, highs, lows(!), ideas and projects, then through this site.

We all probably have this challenge. The OEM wipers switch, the Clear Hooters brand has gone bad and is impossible to find. In fact there was a factory recall. There are superseded parts available but they don't fit in the dash and don't look correct. I have a few ideas and a few 3D printers. Let's work together to solve this challenge .
Fun film (now on Youtube) from a French/American band in Paris back in 1968. Their name was «les Irresistibles».
They were sponsored by Triumph and on their only major hit the music film shows the band driving three TR5’s
Thanks Pierre!
