About the group

Rare cars, kept running by the people who own them

The TR5 PI was built for barely a year, and few of them found their way to this side of the Atlantic. This site exists so the owners who have one can find each other, compare notes, chase down parts and get help when the injection system misbehaves.

Everything here comes from members — restoration write-ups, photographs, parts offered and wanted, and the register itself.

Roger Ferris, TR Registrar for the TR Register

A welcome

A welcome from Roger Ferris of the TR Register

I have owned TR’s for almost fifty years, and for almost forty I have served as a TR Registrar for the TR Register. During that time, I have witnessed these cars traverse from everyday working cars, to highly prized and (admired) examples of 1960’s sports car motoring. I welcome anything that encourages their appreciation, preservation, and most importantly their use. In such a large land-mass as the USA and Canada, with still relatively so few TR5’s, one ‘physical’, ‘old school’ club is clearly not viable. So, what better way for his small, but growing, band of owners and enthusiasts to share stories, discoveries, highs, lows(!), ideas and projects, then through this site.

2026 VTR Nationals Cancelled

2026 VTR Nationals Cancelled

It is with great sadness that I must announce the 2026 VTR National Convention has been cancelled. Despite the tremendous effort of the South Texas Triumph Association (STTA) to overcome the natural disaster in Kerrville, and the heroic efforts of Drew Holliday and others to find an alternate location, we were unable to put together a viable convention.
